Caught Ya #26: don pedro entered the discussion and upbraided benedick for his stand. before i die benedick i predict that i shall see you a victim of cupids arrow. don pedro than offered to woo hero for the timid claudio that was to shy to do so hisself

For the first part of class today we drafted out a possible outline for your WDC/Revolutionary War paper, which is due next week! All the information for this assignment is on Canvas. The second part of class today we continued reviewing the amendments to the Constitution. You need to know what each amendment did, so make sure you get those notes from us.

#28: the planning of this amateurish play was hampered by the weaver nick bottom. he was the clumsy offensively bumptious man not known for lofty thoughts that tried to take over the meeting. while bottom was cast as the hero in this “most lamentable comedy” he also said that he could play the part of the heroine

Today in class we reviewed discussion board #8 and gave time for independent reading. This unit is winding down, so make sure you have finished all previous discussion boards. We will accept books being passed off through March 8th, but all written assignments need to be completed by March 2nd.

You also had time to work on your Trip Around the World project. All steps for this project must be completed by March 2nd, the late work deadline for the third quarter.

Today in class we read chapters four-five of Peter Pan and talked about the positive and negative traits of his personality. We also talked about some of the things that Captain Hook and Mr. Darling share and things that they don’t share with personality traits.

The second part of class we set aside time for you to have your second to last work day on your Canvas assignments. All assignments need to be turned in by the 2nd of March!

Today we started out by giving a brief preview to what will be coming next quarter in our Independent Reading project. We will go over this in more particulars in coming weeks, but start thinking more about what books you want to read. We also started planning out your test for Warriors Don’t Cry. On Monday we will have time set aside to brainstorm as a group. Wednesday you will have time to write it.

During the second part of class we went over the end of the articles of the Constitution and began the first five amendments. You will need this information!

Today in class we introduced the final project for Peter Pan. You can find the project sheet on Canvas, which will explain the steps you’ll take to complete the assignment. You can come talk to us for help as well. We will continue discussing this project in the coming weeks. We also finished reading chapter three. Afterward, you had time to work on your Trip Around Utah project. The final steps have been posted and are due next week!

Today we introduced the “Design Your Own Neverland” assignment and read chapters 2-3 in class. (We didn’t quite finish chapter 3, we’ll finish on Tuesday.) You can pick up a copy of the Design Your Own Neverland assignment in class.

The second part of class you had time to finish the Neverland assignment and/or to continue work on your Trip Around Utah project. You should be finished with all the assignments available for that project on Canvas to be considered on track.

During the first part of class today, we read chapters 17-18 of Warriors Don’t Cry and added to our theme tracker. Please read the epilogue on your own at home. Next week we will prepare for the final test on the book and plan out a possible outline for the essay. The final essay is due by March 7th (though there are bonus possibilities for turning it in early!)  No tests will be accepted after March 21st.

The second part of class we continued going over the beginning of the Constitution, specifically reviewing the roles of the President, of Congress, and of the Supreme Court. You will have some pieces of this information that must be memorized, so it would be valuable for you to get these notes from us or from a neighbor.

All late work is due March 2nd.
